How to turn off the the Remote Window Control feature on your Honda

As you may know Honda has a neat feature that lets you role all your windows down remotely using your key fob. This is done by pressing the unlock button twice and holding it on the second press. This is a very convenient feature if you want to cool your car down quick on those hot days before getting in. Although it also has it's downfalls. If you have the key fob in your pocket or purse and accidentally press the unlock button twice you may unknowingly role all of your windows down. This could be very bad if it's raining, snowing or if your just in a bad neighborhood. Fortunately Honda finally came out with a setting to turn this feature off if your worrying about this happening to you. Below are the steps to turn the remote window control feature off.

• On the display press "Vehicle Settings".

• Press "Door/Window Setup".

• Scroll Down to "Remote Window Control" and press it.

• Scroll Down and select "OFF".

Thats in! Now the remote window control feature is turned off and you will no longer have to worry about your windows automatically rolling down without you knowing. Below is a step by step video showing you how to do this as well.

Same here -- 2017 CR-V LX. Have loved this car for 125k miles and counting, but concerned about accidental auto-rolldowns because of the weather we get here.

I understand that there wasn't a user visible setting for this on the 2017 CR-V LX, but can a dealer disable it, or can Honda provide a software patch to do so?
