There aren't many reasons why you would have to turn the daytime running lights off but there are a couple reasons why such as going to the drive-inns. Many new cars including Honda's turn the running daytime lights on automatically when the vehicle is turned on and at first it appears that there is no way of turning the lights off without turning off the car completely. Although turning off the car is not a good solution at the drive-ins because you need the car running at times to make sure the battery doesn't die. You also may want the A/C on during hot humid summer night. There is a solution though. Read the simple steps and watch the video below to learn how.
Below are the steps to turn off the daytime running lights while keeping the vehicle running.
Turn the vehicle off.
Engage the parking brake.
Turn the vehicle back on.
And that's it! After those 3 simple steps the vehicle will be running but the daytime running lights will be off. Watch the video below for more info.
